Midwifery Education in Hong Kong-Implementation of a New Assessment System Abstract

Limitations of the assessment of the Midwifery Education Program had been a matter of concern for many years. With the implementation of the core-curriculum of the Midwifery Education in 2000, a new assessment system was adopted. This paper provides an overview of the development of the New Assessment System and attempts to compare it with the traditional one, based on the preliminary comments after its first implementation.
